Terms of Service

Last updated October 16, 2026. These terms are a contract between you and Antonio Carlos de Andrade d'Avila Pacca, CPF 099.740.057-95. If you do not accept them, do not use NapGrow.

This page exists in Portuguese and English. The English version governs until the Portuguese version has been reviewed.

1. Who we are

NapGrow is operated by Antonio Carlos de Andrade d'Avila Pacca, CPF 099.740.057-95, at Rua Sd. Constantino Maroqui, S/N, Q57 L6-A, Pedra de Guaratiba - CEP: 23025-170, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You can reach us at legal@napgrow.com.

2. What NapGrow is

NapGrow is a budgeting application. You record money you have received and money you have spent, say what it was for, set budgets where you want them, plan recurring items, and read reports about it. It keeps a double-entry ledger underneath, which is why the figures reconcile and why some of the rules below exist.

NapGrow is a record-keeping and planning tool. It is not a bank, not a payment service, and it does not hold or move money.

3. Before launch

Right now NapGrow is not open. The only thing you can do here is join the waitlist, which means giving us an email address so we can tell you when it opens. Joining the waitlist is not an account, does not reserve anything, and does not oblige either of us to anything. You can leave at any time from the link in any email we send.

Sections 4 to 17 take effect when accounts open.

4. Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract. If you use NapGrow for a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

5. Your account and how you sign in

Signing in is handled by an identity provider we use, not by NapGrow. No NapGrow screen ever asks for your password. Your password, your two-factor enrolment and any passkey you register are held by that provider and never by us. Password resets and two-factor challenges happen on its pages.

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

6. What you record is yours

You keep every right you already had in what you put into NapGrow. We take no ownership of it.

You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your records, process them, compute figures from them, back them up, and show them to you and to the people you have given access. Nothing in that permission lets us sell your records, use them to advertise to you, or share them with anyone for their own purposes. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising.

7. Workspaces, and what the people you invite can see

A workspace is a set of books. You may have several — personal and business, typically — and they are separate from each other.

Inside one workspace, read is total. Every member sees every transaction in it. There is no way to hide an account, a transaction or an amount from someone who is a member. This is not an omission: the ledger is double-entry, so money in a hidden account still moves the figures everyone else can see, and a feature that hid the label while the amount still moved would mislead rather than protect.

What we give you instead is control over writing: a member can be allowed to record against some accounts and not others, and roles determine who can manage members and the budget. The default for someone you invite is that they can see everything and record nothing until you grant it.

So the rule to take away is this: if there is something you do not want another person to see, it belongs in a different workspace. Deciding who to invite is your decision and your responsibility.

Reading across workspaces is different and needs permission each way: a combined report over two workspaces requires each of them to have approved it, approval can be withdrawn, and every crossing is recorded.

8. NapGrow is not advice

NapGrow computes figures from what you enter — totals, projections, amortisation, tax-related amounts and distribution rules among them. Those figures are informational. They are not financial, investment, accounting, tax or legal advice, and we are not your accountant, adviser or lawyer.

Before you file anything, pay anything, or make a decision that matters, check the numbers against your own records and, where it matters, with a qualified professional. This is especially true of anything tax-related: rules change, they differ by jurisdiction, and NapGrow does not know your full circumstances.

9. The data is what you typed

NapGrow does not connect to your bank and does not verify what you record against any outside source. Entries are yours, entered by you — or, where we offer it, imported from a file you provide — and their accuracy is yours. If a figure is wrong, it is wrong because the input was, and the reports, projections and tax figures derived from it will be wrong in the same way.

10. How you may not use it

Do not use NapGrow to break the law, to launder money, or to keep records in furtherance of fraud. Do not try to reach another person's data, probe or disrupt the service, scrape it, resell access to it, or work around a limit on your plan. Do not upload malicious files or content you have no right to.

11. Plans, the trial, and paying

The trial runs 45 days and does not ask for a card up front. You only pay if you choose to subscribe at the end of it.

You pay the price shown when you subscribe, in the currency shown to you. Prices differ by country, deliberately: the same product costs what it reasonably can where you live. A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time — it then runs to the end of the period you have paid for.

If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel instead.

Refunds: you have seven days from your first payment to change your mind, for any reason, and we will refund it in full. After that we do not give refunds, which is reasonable because the trial lets you use everything for 45 days before paying anything.

Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Law 8.078/1990) gives you a seven-day right to withdraw from a contract made this way. Where it gives you more than the paragraph above, it wins; nothing written here reduces it.

A subscription is held by a person, not by a workspace. Being a member of somebody else's workspace is free and always will be — only owning a workspace needs a subscription.

12. If a subscription ends

Nothing you have recorded becomes unreadable because you stopped paying. That is a commitment, not a courtesy.

What a lapse does is stop you creating: you choose which workspaces stay active, and the rest become read-only. You can still read them, run reports and export snapshots; you cannot record new transactions or change the budget in them. Choose again later and the choice reverses. We never freeze an account outright, and a lapsed subscription never delays a deletion you have asked for.

13. Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time, and the privacy policy explains exactly what happens — read it before you do, because it is not what most services mean by deletion. In short: you get a window of 30 days in which the request can be undone, after which your identity is removed from the records permanently, while the arithmetic of the books survives without it.

If you solely own a workspace that other people are members of, you will be asked to name who takes it over before you can confirm. We will not strand other people's books.

14. Changes to the service

NapGrow is under active development and will change. We may add, alter or withdraw features. Where a change would take away something you rely on, we will give you reasonable notice. Some features may be offered as previews, and those may change or disappear at short notice.

15. Availability

We work to keep NapGrow available and we do not promise any particular level of availability or uptime. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because something we depend on fails.

16. Suspension and ending the agreement

You may stop using NapGrow whenever you like. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your use puts the service or other people at risk, or if we are required to. Where it is reasonable to warn you first, we will. If we end your access without cause, you will have a fair chance to get your data out.

17. Disclaimers, and the limit of what we owe you

NapGrow is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude warranties we have not written down here, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss arising from decisions you made on figures you did not check. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

None of this removes a right you have that cannot be removed. Brazilian consumer law limits how far a supplier may exclude its liability, and where it does, the law wins over anything written here.

18. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and any dispute goes to the courts of the comarca of Rio de Janeiro.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you before it takes effect — by email or in the app — and the date at the top will change. Continuing to use NapGrow after that means you accept the new version. If you do not, you can close your account.
